Nirakar is an acoustic trio which blends traditional melodies of North Indian Classical Music with contemporary Jazz and Latin grooves. Using their own individual knowledge and wide-spanning experience all the artists have contributed to form the musical material and structure of the compositions, making each one unique.
The Nirakar trio comprises Jules Faife on Guitar, Ross Hughes on Wind and Sulekh Ruparell on Tabla. As well as extensive professional and classical expertise in their own fields of music, all the artists have shown diversity in performing with highly regarded musicians in other genres such as Spanish Flamenco, Brazilian, Cuban, Zimbabwean, Turkish and Klezmer.
